Shirley Watson is currently serving her third term as Commissioner for Ward 4. She was elected for her first term in May 2017, and re-elected to serve again in May 2020. Commissioner Watson is a graduate of G.W. Carver High School, Madame CJ Walker College, and Integrity Seminary with a Bachelors in Christian Leadership and Community Organization. She has served on the Parks and Recreation Board and Ennis Housing Authority.
Mrs. Watson (widowed) is the mother of three boys - Phillip, Frederick and Patrick, as well as one daughter, Charlotte. She enjoys traveling, gardening and serving her community, wherever needed.
