The City of Ennis offers Voluntary Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance through Mutual of Omaha. The primary purpose of life insurance is income replacement - to protect loved ones who depend on you for financial security. Insurance benefits are paid to your beneficiaries if you die while covered.
Regular full-time City employees may purchase voluntary term life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment life insurance with a guarantee issue amount of $100,000 or 3X salary, whichever is less. Should you leave your employment with the City of Ennis, you may convert your term life coverage to an individual whole life insurance policy. The request to convert must be made to the Human Resources Department within 31 days following the termination of coverage.
