Materials become overdue at the opening of the library the day following the due date on the item. City Ordinance 85-12-3 makes the taking or failing to return library materials a criminal offense and provides for a penalty.

Interlibrary Loan | If postage is required for an interlibrary loan request, the library is able to charge for return postage according to rates set by the state library. If the lending library charges an additional amount, such as postal insurance, the patron pays this also. |
