Interlibrary Loan (ILL) enables you to borrow materials not available at the Ennis Public Library. Anyone that has had an Ennis Public Library Card for at least 6 months, with no fines on their account, may use this service.
There currently is no fee to interlibrary loan materials. The fine for overdue interlibrary loans is a $1.00 per day, per item.
You can search the Texas Armadillo Network to see if other libraries carry what you're looking for. Then, you can call or submit your interlibrary loan request through email to reference@ennistx.gov Please include the following information:
-Staff can take your request in person at the Reference Desk of the Ennis Public Library, by phone at 972-875-5360, or by email.
-Books published within the last six months, rare books, entire issues of periodicals, most dissertations and theses, most genealogy books, and books already in our collection, including reference books. Please remember that all requests for copies must comply with U.S. copyright law. Libraries may not request more than five articles in one year from the same periodical.
-Currently there is no fee for interlibrary loans.
-Patrons with overdue materials are charged $1 per day, per item.
-You may request a maximum of five items at any one time.
-The decision to renew an item rests with the lending library. To request a renewal, contact the Ennis Public Library at least two business days before the book is due so that we have time to send the request to the lending library.
-It takes approximately two weeks for items to arrive, although this time can be affected by the proximity of the lending library or availability of an item. We will call you when your items have arrived.
-The item may be picked up at the Circulation Desk of the Ennis Public Library.
