How do I pay my water bill?
  • Auto Pay - Bank Drafting Service

Customers can have their monthly utility bills paid automatically from their checking account.  It saves time and money - no checks to write, no postage, no fees for the service.  Bills will always be paid on time.

Auto Pay Customers continue to receive monthly utility bills indicating water consumption, amount owed and date due.  The total amount of the bill is electronically deducted from their checking account each month on the due date, which appears on the bill. Download the bank draft form here.

Just need to pay your bill? (24/7) Use Quick Pay.  No Login necessary.  You'll need your account number and last payment amount.  

  • Credit Cards

Credit Cards and PIN Less Debit Cards are now accepted. The method of payments we accept are Visa, Mastercard and Discover.  All credit cards payments must be paid in person at 107 N. Sherman Street, Ennis, TX. 75119.    

  • In Person

Payments may also be made in person at 107 N. Sherman St. from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Mail

You may pay your City of Ennis Utility bill by personal check, cashiers check or money order. Please detach your payment stub from your utility bill and include it with your payment.

How do I start new service or discontinue my water service?
  • Establish, Transfer or Disconnect Service

If you wish to:

•transfer existing service 

•establish residential utility service oe disconnect utility service in the City of Ennis

•discuss the billing for your residential account

You may call 972-875-1234 for instructions or visit our business offices at City Hall Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You must have a valid Texas Driver’s License or valid Texas ID to establish service. Customers who are disconnecting their service may do so by visiting the office in person. Customers will have their deposit deducted from the final bill. Any amounts due to the customer will be refunded, and any amounts owed must be paid to the City.

  • Residential Deposit

A $50.00 deposit for residential, unless its declared a rental property, in which the deposit is calculated from the previous six months average multiplied by three. 

  • Commercial Deposit

A application for service and a deposit are required and must be arranged in the business office located in City Hall at 115 W. Brown St.  A application for service, signed by an authorized representative of the company, must be completed. The deposit for service must also be paid at that time. The deposit amount is determined at the time the application is made.
