Interim City Manager Tenders Resignation: Mayor appoints Acting City Manager

ENNIS, TX -  Following the resignation of the Interim City Manager, Mayor Kameron Raburn has appointed Chief of Police Dustin Munn to serve as Acting City Manager for the City of Ennis, Texas.

Pursuant to the Ennis Home Rule Charter, Section 4.01.(D. 8), the Mayor shall appoint an Acting City Manager in the absence of a City Manager. Chief Munn, who has served the City of Ennis with distinction, will assume this expanded role as the city continues to address ongoing challenges related to its water supply.

To ensure continued strong leadership within the Ennis Police Department during this time, Assistant Chief Michael Godfrey will serve as Interim Chief of Police.

“Chief Godfrey is an exceptional leader who has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our department. I have full faith and confidence the Police Department will continue to operate at the highest level under his leadership, ensuring the safety and security of our community,” said Chief Munn.

Mayor Raburn added, “Our top priority is ensuring the seamless delivery of city services to our residents. With Chief Munn stepping into the role of Acting City Manager and his dedicated team continuing to lead the Police Department, I am confident we are well-positioned to move forward.”
